So many times in the past few years of UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series action, overall race wins have come down to Unlimited Truck drivers Eric Hardin and Adam Householder. Sunday’s California 300 Unlimited Race came down to both once again—and this time, it was Hardin taking top honors by a margin of just one minute and 37 seconds.
For the second straight year, Brayden Baker is an overall winner of the California 300 after surviving four grueling laps of the Barstow desert. After battling with Class 10 top qualifier Tyler Mills for most of the day, Baker asserted another victory for a UTV Pro Open car in the UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series Triple Crown finale with a winning time of 6:27:10.555, just over eight minutes clear of class champion Sierra Romo for both the class and overall victories.
The UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series doesn’t just feature a lineup of premier racing events for top professional car, truck, and UTV racers; it also gives the future stars of the sport a chance to get in on the action. These rising talents compete in their own Triple Crown, comprised of UNLTD’s three races: the Parker 400, BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400, and California 300. At the California 300, the final event of the series, four Youth races took place on Friday, where the next generation of off-road racers ended their season on a high note.
When motorcycles returned to the Barstow desert for the first time in decades in last year’s California 300, it was Preston Campbell who took the first checkered flag. In Friday’s California 300 Motorcycle Race, it was Campbell on top once again, teaming up with Justin Morgan to complete the first major race of the weekend with a blistering time of 5:21:53.
VP Racing will continue a long-standing relationship with UNLTD Off-Road Racing, serving as the Official Fuel Provider of the California 300, returning to Barstow, CA on October 2-6. Hundreds of the sport’s top off-road racers will rely on VP Racing to get them to the finish line, while off-road enthusiasts will get to explore VP’s full line of products on the midway in Barstow throughout the race weekend.
As part of their sponsorship of the 2024 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series, UNLTD officials are pleased to welcome MagnaFlow and Camburg to the 2024 California 300, which returns to Barstow, CA on October 2-6. MagnaFlow and Camburg products will be on display on the California 300 midway during Friday’s California 300 Off-Road Festival, while Camburg trucks raced by Kyle Jergensen and Alexander Wacker will go for a pair of class titles and the overall UNLTD championship in the 2024 season finale.
