The UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series doesn’t just feature a lineup of premier racing events for top professional car, truck, and UTV racers; it also gives the future stars of the sport a chance to get in on the action. These rising talents compete in their own Triple Crown, comprised of UNLTD’s three races: the Parker 400, BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400, and California 300. At the California 300, the final event of the series, four Youth races took place on Friday, where the next generation of off-road racers ended their season on a high note.

The action began with a combined race for the Youth 170 Open, 170 Production, and 200 classes. Nixon Nagel led the 170 Open racers to the checkered flag for the second time this season. But unlike his class victory at Parker, this time Nagel was ahead of the entire field, securing both the overall and class wins, finishing just over a second ahead of Korbin Grinolds. In the 170 Production class, Rylee Atteberry ended Cash Martinez’s bid for a sweep of the season, while Cooper Heald became the third different driver to claim a 200 class victory this year.

Next came separate races for the 250 and 570 divisions. Code St. Peter earned his second win of the season in the 250 class, lapping the field twice, while Addie Atteberry took home the second win of the day for her family in the 570 class.

The final Youth race of the day, the Youth 1000, saw a familiar family name on top, but this time it was Wyatt Cotter who crossed the line first. After his brother Mason won both at Parker and the Mint, with Wyatt finishing second at Parker, Wyatt took the top honors in Barstow, beating his brother by just over six seconds.
