Biography

I served in the US Army for 25 years, from 1991 to 2016, 18 of those years I served as a Green Beret. I deployed in support of The Global War on Terror in 2002, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2007, 2008-09, 2011, and 2013-2014. My combat deployments varied between Operation Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan and Operation Enduring Freedom-Philippines. Special Forces and the Global War on Terror left an indelible impact on me and once I retired, I missed the camaraderie, purpose, and challenge. As far as racing, I get to race with my son where we get to test ourselves, physically and mentally. We overcome challenges and obstacles as a team. My son was born in 2001. I missed nearly all of his childhood and most of his teenage years. Him wanting to spend time with me and compete in a demanding sport is amazing to me. We’ve been racing together, on and off, for about 6 years. My wife and daughter get to come out to some of the races. Those races are the best, when my whole family is together in the pits!
