DEFINITION

One or two seat vehicles built using a one, two or four seat production UTV.

Maximum engine size 2000cc NA, 1000cc Turbo.

Any manufacturer UTV may be used providing the model used has been series produced in a minimum of 1000 units within a twelve (12) month period.

Stock production body parts required.

GENERAL REGULATIONS

Entrants in this class shall comply with all applicable general regulations.

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS

This class is a Stock Production class, and all components will be considered Stock Production unless unrestricted herein. If the rules herein don’t say that you can do it, you CAN’T do it and it will be deemed illegal. Manufacturers body, engine, transmission, chassis, and drive train components must be retained.

SUSPENSION COMPONENTS

Track Width: Stock track width, as delivered by the manufacturer, must be retained plus or minus two inches, with a maximum of 80". Measured outside of tire to outside of tire at ride height, at its widest point.

Wheelbase: Stock, as delivered by the manufacturer, plus or minus two inches.

Pivot Points: Suspension pivot points may be reinforced, but must remain in the stock location as delivered by the manufacturer. All pivot points will be used as designed by the manufacturer. No pivot points may be added or removed.

Suspension Components (Suspension components, A-arms, spindles, links, bushings, etc): Stock, as delivered by the manufacturer. Material may be added for strengthening purposes only.

Ball Joints: Ball joints may be of any manufacturer.

Sway Bars: Stock, as delivered by the manufacturer, or can be removed.

Sway Bar Links: Open.

Radius/Tie Rods: Aftermarket radius/tie rods may be used, but stock length must be retained.

Hubs & Wheel Bearings: Open.

Axles/CV Joints: Open.

UTR11 SHOCK ABSORBERS and BUMP STOPS

Limited to one shock per wheel.

No external bypass shocks.

Shocks may be of any manufacturer, but must mount in the stock location, as delivered by the manufacturer.

UTR12 SECONDARY SUSPENSION

Not allowed.

UTR13 WHEELS and TIRES

Wheel diameter is sixteen (16) inch maximum.

Maximum tire size is 33x10.5.

Wheel studs are open.

Power Steering: Stock, as delivered by the manufacturer.

Steering / Turning Brakes: Not allowed.

Center Steering: Allowed only on single seat vehicles.

FUEL SYSTEM

Pressurized fuel systems not allowed. Gravity fueling, dump cans or fuel towers only.

UTR21 FUEL

Pump gas only - 93 octane maximum. No race fuel.

UTR22 FUEL TANKS

Stock tank in stock location as delivered by the manufacturer or fuel cell in any location.

Maximum fuel capacity is 20 gallons.

Racers with larger than 20 gallon fuel cells - Due to the unification of Best in the Desert and Unlimited Off-Road Racing, fuel cell capacities within this class have varied across rulebooks. To ensure parity, all vehicles are now limited to a maximum usable fuel capacity of 20 gallons.

Competitors with fuel cells exceeding 20 gallons must use displacement blocks in their fuel cell to reduce total capacity to the allowable limit.

Fuel capacity will be verified during post-race technical inspection by draining the tank and refilling the cell to confirm total capacity does not exceed 20 gallons.

Engine: Engine must remain stock, as delivered by the manufacturer. Engine must remain in the stock location. No engine parts may be modified or replaced.

Engine Displacement: Maximum engine size 2000cc NA, 1000cc Turbo.

Air Cleaners: Open.

Air Cleaner Tubes: Open.

Fuel Injectors: Stock, as delivered by the manufacturer.

Timing Chain Hardware: Open

Clutches: Stock, as delivered by the manufacturer.

Fuel Pumps: Open.

Fuel Regulators: Open.

Fuel Filters: Open.

Fuel Rails: Open, must be made of metal.

Springs & Weights: Open.

Clutch housing cooling inlet and outlet tubes (snorkels): May be modified or replaced.

Differentials: Stock, as delivered by the manufacturer.

ECU: Stock ECU must be retained, as delivered by the manufacturer. Tuning allowed.

Axle Flanges: Stock, as delivered by the manufacturer.

Bearings: Bearings may be changed, but must be stock dimensions, as delivered by the manufacturer. No ceramic or hybrid bearings allowed.

Retainer Plate: Use of a retainer plate is allowed.

High Gear Spacers: High gear spacers are allowed.
