The Parker 400 Returns January 15-19 to Kick Off 2025 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Season
Off-road racing makes its triumphant return to Parker, Arizona on January 15-19 with the return of the Parker 400, the first event on the 2025 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series calendar. One of the most historic desert races in America, the Parker 400 made its debut on the UNLTD calendar at the start of last season, adding to more than half a century of racing tradition with the support of the same promotional team behind the legendary Mint 400.

“We’re thrilled to be in Parker once again to start the 2025 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series season with the Parker 400!” said UNLTD CEO Matt Martelli. “Getting to celebrate the event’s 50th anniversary last year with its inaugural place on the UNLTD calendar was a blast, and we’re excited to go even bigger and better this year as we build off 2024’s success. We hope to see plenty of fans on site all weekend long to check out all the racing and great exhibitors on hand!”

Many of the top names in desert racing are set to compete in this year’s Parker 400, headlined by defending Unlimited Truck 2WD champion Adam Householder, defending Parker 400 Unlimited Race winner Conner McMullen, and defending Parker 400 Limited Race winner Larry Heidler. Other entries to watch include defending class champions Brent Fox (Unlimited Truck SPEC) and Indy Haberman (Class 10), defending Mint 400 winners Preston Campbell and Justin Morgan in the Motorcycle Race, and the pairing of Mark Post and Robby Gordon teaming up in the Unlimited Race for Riviera Racing.
Pre-race festivities kicked off the weekend before the event with the annual Parker 400 Poker Run, where racers and enthusiasts got their first look at much of this year’s course, and the Republic Services Desert Cleanup, where dozens of volunteers banded together to remove an estimated 26,500 pounds of trash from the Arizona desert. Additional pre-running will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday before the official Parker 400 Kickoff Party at the BlueWater Resort & Casino on Wednesday at 6PM.
Race vehicles get their first timed sessions of the new season on Thursday, with Limited Race qualifying for Class 10 and all pro UTV classes starting at 10AM and Unlimited Race qualifying following at 11:30. From there, the Parker 400 Downtown Experience will kick off at noon, as tech and contingency for race vehicles is combined with massive exhibitor displays from UNLTD and event partners in downtown Parker.
Racing begins on Friday at 7:30AM with the Parker 400 Motorcycle Race, a new addition to the schedule for 2025. The Limited Race will follow starting at 1PM, with the first finisher estimated at roughly 8:30PM. Heidler won last year’s event with a time of 7:28:27 in a tight battle with Sierra Romo, and he’ll be among the favorites to repeat in 2025.
On Saturday, the action kicks off with a pair of Youth Races starting at 8AM, as the 170, 200, and 250 classes compete together for 25 minutes and the 570 and 1000 classes follow them with a 45-minute race of their own. From there, the Parker 400 Unlimited Race goes green at 10AM, with the first finishers estimated to complete the course at roughly 4:30. McMullen’s winning time of 6:36:02 last year saw him upset the Unlimited Trucks in his Class 1 car, while all three premier Unlimited classes—Class 1, Unlimited Truck, and Unlimited Truck SPEC—were represented on the overall podium.
The 2025 Parker 400 marks the first of four rounds on the 2025 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series calendar. It will be followed by the legendary BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 in Las Vegas on March 5-9, the inaugural Reno 600 in Reno on April 16-19, and the season-ending California 300 in Barstow on October 1-5.
