American Off-Road Racing Championship officials are excited to welcome FORD RACING to the 30th anniversary Casey Folks Vegas to Reno — “The Other Way” presented by Camburg / Magnflow August 12th -16th, in Reno, NV. The legendary desert race will run in reverse for the first time ever, launching from just outside Reno and finishing near Las Vegas as part of the American Off-Road Racing Championship. The 30th anniversary celebration will feature the all-new Reno Off-Road Festival in the heart of downtown Reno, surrounding the J Resort, bringing together race teams, manufacturers, industry partners, and thousands of off-road fans for one of the biggest and most historic events in desert racing history.

Ford’s involvement further strengthens its deep roots in desert racing and off-road performance, following recent participation in Vegas to Reno competition through the Ford Bronco DR, Bronco Raptor, and Ford Racing off-road program. Ford will bring some of the sport’s top talent and cutting-edge vehicles to the starting line.

Taking on the Stock Production Truck classes, Brad Lovell will compete in the 3.5L F-150 Raptor, Loren Healy will take on the course in the Bronco Raptor, and John Williams will compete in the F-150 Raptor R. Adding to the excitement, Bailey Campbell will tackle the challenging 4600 class in her Bronco Raptor 4600 and Vaughn Gittin Jr. will compete in the Raptor 4400, rounding out a formidable Ford lineup.

“We’re excited to welcome Ford Racing to this historic event,” said Matt Martelli, CEO of Unlimited Off-Road Racing. “The Ford platform has been part of desert off-road racing since the very beginning, and they’ve never shied away from a challenge. This year’s Vegas to Reno will be especially demanding as we run the race backwards for the first time in history, throwing predictability out the window. Their continued support of racers and events shows a real commitment to off-road culture. They race the same products they sell.”

“Desert Off-Road racing is the ultimate product development and marketing platform for Ford,” stated Kristen Goslawski, North American Off-Road Motorsports Supervisor, Ford Racing. “That’s precisely why we are engaged in supporting multiple teams, multiple vehicle platforms, and multiple racing disciplines in off-road. Vegas to Reno is not only a historically important race, but it also offers a very unique challenge in its distance, elevation changes, terrain, and brutal heat. We are excited to be a part of this iconic off-road race.”

The 30th Anniversary Casey Folks Vegas to Reno — “The Other Way” — marks a historic first for the legendary desert race as competitors tackle the longest off-road race in the United States in reverse direction for the very first time. The event begins August 13–16 in the heart of downtown Reno with a massive Off-Road Festival surrounding the host J Resort before racers head south across more than 500+ miles of rugged Nevada desert terrain toward the finish in Las Vegas. Celebrating three decades of Vegas to Reno history, the event will bring together top racers, manufacturers, industry leaders, and thousands of fans for one of the most anticipated races in desert off-road history.
