2024 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 Media Highlights
The Mint 400 has produced more more media coverage and impact than any other off-road race in North America than any other race for the past decade! Check out some highlights from this year's race:
If you've seen our recent profile on the history of the Mint 400, you'll know its rise to counterculture superstardom in the late 60s and subsequent gradual decline in the late 90s is a story that could've only been told in Las Vegas. The race's remarkable second act post-revival in 2008 is nothing short of a Cinderella story in its own right. At this year's Mint 400, I got to sit down with the man arguably most responsible for the race's return to prominence.
AUTO123 - THE MINT 400 DESERT OFF-ROAD RACE: TAKING IT ALL IN IN THE MOJAVE DESERT
Primm, NV - Last weekend we had the occasion to experience a first – attending what’s labeled the Great American Off-Road Race”. That would be the Mint 400 desert off-road race, a race that transpires pretty much exactly as it sounds: four laps of a 100-mile course through the Mojave Desert outside of Primm, Nevada. It’s a race steeped in history; at one time, the Mint was considered part of a triple-crown of races along with Le Mans and the Daytona 500.
AutoEvolution - Modded Tesla Cybertruck on BFG Tires Catches the Action in the Mint 400's VIP Tent
Admittedly, the BF Goodrich-sponsored Tesla Cybertruck was displayed at the Mint 400's parade and festival down Freemont Street the day before. But with a spot dead center in the middle of BFG's VIP tent at this year's race, the kind of standing this truck has in the modern zeitgeist is personified through its placement among Mint spectators. This is, bar none, the most polarizing pickup, heck, possibly the most polarizing motor vehicle in the 130-year history of the horseless carriage. Some people love it like it's automotive divinity; others see it as Satan on funny wheels.
Kyle Jergensen, Ronnie Anderson Give Rigid Industries 2024 Mint 400 Class Wins
Rigid Industries athletes Ronnie Anderson and Kyle Jergensen brought home the hardware in last weekend’s Mint 400, with each scoring class wins and overall podiums in the Great American Off-Road Race. The second round of the 2024 UNLTD Off-Road Racing Series saw Anderson take top overall honors in Friday’s Limited Race, while Jergensen’s Unlimited Truck SPEC class win in Saturday’s Unlimited Race also saw him finish second overall.
The Checkered Flag - Adam Householder enjoys “flawless day” to win Mint 400 Unlimited
The Mint 400 is one of the toughest off-road races in America, but Adam Householder was more than up for the challenge. In fact, as many of his rivals dropped out or suffered mechanical issues, Householder’s Unlimited Truck was perfect from start to finish.
Tire Business - BFGoodrich remains title sponsor of Mint 400
BFGoodrich, a global leader in off-road tires, is continuing its partnership with the legendary Mint 400, “The Great American Off-Road Race,” as the title sponsor for the 2024 event.
After a long list of triumphs in short course racing, Ronnie Anderson added the first major win of his desert racing career in Friday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Limited Race at the 2024 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400. Anderson and co-driver Cole Keatts brought their #PO952 Polaris RZR to the finish line in 7:35:48.6, taking top overall honors ahead of Class 10 winner Tyler Mills by just 56 seconds at race’s end.
