Being the service director/parts manager at Temecula Motorsports, Rob Vegter sees a lot of custom machines roll through the shop. He sees the good and the bad every day. So when he decided to jump feet first into UTV racing he had only one shop in mind. He wanted a stylish UTV that was packed with function. He contacted Carr-One Fabrication in Lake Elsinore to discuss his wish list. 5 days later he was dropping off a brand new 2014 Polaris RZR XP1000 to Bryan Carr and his team at Carr-One. Carr-One builds top notch custom machines and has come on strong in the Southern California racing segment of the industry. From buggies, strollers, salt flat racers to UTV’s these guys have a passion for detail and quality. For Rob’s car they hand built a very nice custom aluminum dash to house the GPS, radio and a slew of switches and breakers. This being a hybrid race car, weight was an issue. Keeping the UTV light but still having all the tools needed for the Co-dawg to assist Rob was critical. The purpose of the machine was to be a reliable and safe desert race machine but they still wanted to retain the ability to race some short course or be used as a play machine.
