Menzies Motorsports Wins Third Consecutive NORRA Mexican 1000
CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO – Menzies Motorsports and Toyo Tires® have won the 2024 NORRA Mexican 1000 Race for the third consecutive year, dating back to the 2022 racing season. The renowned five-day rally began in Ensenada, Mexico and featured a challenging course as drivers navigated through the Baja California Peninsula, ending in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. From sand and silt to rocky terrain, Bryce Menzies and his father, Steve Menzies, endured a long battle throughout the duration of the race. Relying on the championship-winning Toyo Open Country® M/T-R tires to get them to the finish line, they recorded a historic third win in a row at the “Happiest Race on Earth.”
“The NORRA 1000 is over six days long and 1,300 miles of grueling Baja terrain,” said Bryce Menzies. “It is one of the most fun races, with my dad performing much of the driving while I filled in for a few days. We won our third NORRA 1000 in a row, which is a huge achievement for the team, and everyone involved. We are looking forward to trying to win our fourth one next year.”
“Winning the 2024 NORRA Mexican 1000 Race again is a huge accomplishment for Menzies Motorsports and Team Toyo,” said Stan Chen, sr. manager, events, sponsorships and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “It is incredibly difficult to win one desert race, let alone the same race in three consecutive years, and it’s a testament to the team’s inspiring driving and the performance of Toyo Tires' products.”
