Mike Bragg’s 1730 Jeepspeed
Mike Bragg has been around racing his whole life. Mike’s dad J.M. Bragg started racing a jeep in Mexico in 1970 and continued into the mid 80’s. Mike’s first race was at the age of 14 as a co driver, he started driving a class 8 in the La Rana series in ’95. He continued racing off and on for a few years, co-driving with Dave Ashley in a pro truck and chasing for Team Enduro.
Mike had been looking to get back into racing full time for a few years and always had a liking for the Jeepspeed class. After looking for the right car for awhile, he found the 1730 for sale and purchased it. With a lot of help from the guys at T&J’s, they continue to make the car faster and more reliable. Their pit crew is made up of family and friends that always do a great job. Co-driver’s seat is shared by Randy Fiscus and Mike’s son, Matt Bragg. 1730 has some great local sponsors behind them including JC Lansdowne Oil, LE Lubrications, Aguires Mobile Lube, Battery Pro, T&J Performance Center and Cardoza & Company.
The results are already coming for the 1730 Jeep with strong top 5 finishes and a best finish of second place in class at BITD BWDC, finishing 4th on Saturday and 1st on Sunday.
