California 300 officials announced today that Heat Wave Visual will serve as a supporting sponsor of the inaugural event, coming to Barstow, California on October 12-16. Heat Wave Visual will be providing their ultra stylish glasses to all racers, extending a relationship from other Martelli Brothers-backed events like the Mint 400, while Heat Wave-backed drivers will take on the challenging California 300 race course in style throughout the weekend.
“Over the years, we’ve developed a terrific relationship with Heat Wave Visual, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring that to the California 300,” said California 300 CEO Matt Martelli. “Heat Wave brings a unique look to anything they touch, and their style is a perfect fit for a new, cutting-edge event like the California 300. We look forward to watching Heat Wave drivers do battle in the race!”
Heat Wave Visual® was founded by two individuals, Justin Hertel and Doug Karlson, who sought to bring something more to the table in the eyewear market. The brand sought to create an original, affordable and customizable sunglasses platform on a level never before offered.
Together we share a passion for design and customization, whether it’s wrenching on cars, bikes, websites, graphics, whipping up some art, snapping photos or even making videos, we’re creators at heart, so it was only natural that when we set out to create a brand of our own that we brought our interests with us. After a couple of years we decided to take the brand further into the spotlight of our direct interests, something we could push our true vision through – in March of 2014, the brand became Heat Wave Visual®.
