2022 Legacy Racing Association schedule update
Feb. 15, 2022
Off Road Racer Staff
Due to circumstances out of our control we are having to make some adjustments to our 2022 Race schedule. Good news is we were able to rearrange events to stay on previously scheduled weekends with the exception of one change.
Next up on our schedule is now the Stateline Shootout in Primm, NV May 5-8. This popular short course event is back for 2022 and you better believe the Joker Lane is making a comeback. With Mother’s day being on Sunday May 8th, we have decided to race Friday and Saturday this year in order for teams to get home to celebrate the moms in their life.
Moving to the end of June is our Baja Nevada event. This 650 mile, one day event will surely test your endurance. Race day will be Friday, June 24. Start line will be just North of Beatty with the course heading North past Tonopah and will turn and head back South where it will finish in Tonopah. We anticipate 15 Pit stops for this event and will work on getting mileages out soon for teams to start preparing. Make sure to stick around for the Awards Saturday night in Tonopah! It’s sure to be an evening with stories of the epic adventures.
Our highly anticipated Gold Rush, Virginia City to Tonopah event is moving to September 8-11. We are still partnering with VORRA and are excited to introduce long distance racing to their loyal racers. All the pre race festivities will take place in Virginia City. This race will be approximately 350 miles with 7 pit stops along the way. Finish line and awards will take place Sunday morning in Tonopah.
The VT Construction Battleground Race will push back to December 1-4. Due to the unusually warm Novembers we’ve been having, the BLM has requested we move our event to later in the season in hopes that the tortoises will be in hibernation. This season finale will determine championships and who will take the #1 plate for 2022.
The Dirt Rebelution will remain on October 7-9. This time of year should be gorgeous in Cedar City and the town is eager to have us back. This race brought new terrain and quickly became a racer favorite. For 2022 the loop will gain some miles which should make for some exciting battles. The start and finish line will stay at the Iron springs Resort and we will gain a 2nd pit for this year.
We know how hard it is to plan for race season and apologize for any inconvenience this has created for you and your team. Please know these changes were out of our hands and we tried very hard to stay with our original schedule. However, if we were not flexible, some events would not have happened this year.
We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone of you very soon.
