Biography
Brett Sourapas is a 29-year-old, second-generation off-road racer from San Diego. His passion for racing started as a toddler, when his parents brought him to his father’s races. At age 10, Brett’s father put him and his two brothers—Christian and Stevie—into Trophy Karts, where they competed in the Championship Off Road Racing Series (CORR) and built the fundamentals in short course racing. In 2011, Brett transitioned into desert racing, starting in TrophyLite. By 2013, he stepped into the Class 6100 (Trophy Truck Spec) category, and in 2015 he won the BITD Class 6100 Championship alongside his twin brother, Christian. After that title run, Brett moved up to the sport’s premier Trophy Truck class at just 19 years old in 2016. Brett’s career highlights include the 2019 Parker 425 Overall win and two Mint 400 podium finishes. In 2022, he stepped away from racing to help learn and support the family business, with the clear goal of returning to competition.
